Walker and Beck, the highly successful lifestyle store established on the Sunshine Coast in 2005, was founded by Deborah Beck, widely regarded as a key figure in Australian style.

Deborah built a name for her style and design talent in the 80s with a much sought after clothing store in Sydney’s Double Bay.  From there she branched into accessories and from her Fijian base began supplying retailer icons such as Barneys, Nordstrum and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, Jigsaw and Liberty in London.

Deborah was then coaxed back to Australia with invitations from such large corporations as Country Road and Witchery to act as design and sourcing consultant during the restyling of their brands’ image.

And then came the sea change to the Sunshine Coast with Deborah founding Walker & Beck, an eclectic and highly desirable mix of unique lifestyle products and Deborah’s own clothing designs.  She spends much of the year travelling extensively in order to source the most beautiful, serene products and fabrics.  Her clothing designs are noted for their simple, easy to wear style that skims not clings.  Each range is classic style that will travel and wear with ease.
